On June 1, 2016, Jon and I became full time Digital Nomads. It came after having already spent the previous 2 years traveling extensively. Letting go of home was hard for me, sanctuary has always been a deep need. Now we get to have many homes, and the #WhereWeLiveNow series is a glimpse into the gorgeous spaces we get to call home while we wander the world. It’s both my tribute to home as well as my love of beautiful design.
Typically, we stay in AirBnB homes when we roam the earth, but this lovely opportunity came up to house and dog sit for friends who were going to be doing some traveling of their own. This home was a perfect first home after Jon and I jumped two feet in and let go of our permanent home in Maui. It held us lovingly, and gave us space and time to recover from what turned out to be an exhausting first half of 2016.
I will always have deep love for the trees, the kitchen, the three lovebug dogs, the pool and the perfect chair to sit in while I did a huge amount of writing.

What a neat place, we remember the red peppers drying out in the sunshine and the smell and taste of New Mexican chili….!! We lived in NM while Stan went to college…..of Pharmacy. Enjoy the southwest. ….we did but loved So. Calif more…so we returned there.
Mary, we thoroughly loved it. I particularly loved how the red chili is so ubiquitous there… it’s almost sacred to the area. Definitely looking forward to returning one day.
