In June of 2017, Jon and I headed to Paris, France to attend WordCamp Europe 2017 as well to kick off our Summer in Europe.
It took us some time to find a place to stay. We like to keep our costs down and finding something affordable proved a bit difficult.
One of the things I find though, especially when using AirBnB is that if you just keep looking, and wait a week or two between searches, new rentals turn up that might fit our desired criteria. That’s what happened with this apartment.
It was outside of the area we had been originally searching in, but this ended up being a great bonus. We ended up outside the usual tourist areas which gaves us not only a quieter neighborhood, but a richer immersion into daily french life.
Flexibility in looking for a place to stay is key and often turns up lovely surprises.
Below is the video collage of the place we stayed. We learned that it was quite large for a typical Parisian apartment. It felt perfect for us, and I particularly loved how light and breezy it was. The bath tub became my best friend!
